Israel !

Israel !
Our time in Gods country was amazing, there's really not enough words to describe it. Doesn't matter if you gave your hole heart, here you receive so much more.. I guess that's the thing about Jesus, about grace. It's hard to choose a highlight from 19 awesome days, but between all the amazing tourist stuff, and seeing the bible coming alive, one of the craziest moments for me was at a bus station, when a soldier of Israel, dropped his gun, and picked my guitar, together we played a song that speaks about peace, and people all around stopped to...

Expect the unexpected

Expect the unexpected
In Nepal Northbound divided into two groups : purple and turquoise. Arno, Willemien, Miga, Vanessa and Jade are in the purple team, and this blog is about what we as small team experienced. God sent us to a family that supports an orphanage with 15 boys. Due to a medical operation the host underwent, they could give as much of their attention to us, so we supported them instead. By supporting them God taught us how to bless people with kindness and care. Just before Nepal God gave Jade and Arno word: "expect the unexpected," and did He surprise us...

Last time on Survivor….

Last time on Survivor….
Yes, sometimes Global feels like survivor. Every day you get a clue about what will happen next (because God doesn’t give you a road map) and often you are unsure where the next meal will come from. Only difference is that instead of voting off a team member you don’t get along with, you deliberately fight for love and to keep unity…. So still in Izmir we woke up one morning to notice half our team’s shoes had been stolen during the night. It was only then that we thought maybe camping in a dodge public park was a...

Experiencing African hospitality.

Ever wondered what it’ s like living in a village deep in the heart of Africa?  We had the privilege of staying in such a village way out in the bush and it was a wonderful experience.

‘Weather’ you want to or not….

We have found lately that storms can come and go in an instance!! While we were still in Macau a Typhoon hit the coast while we were camping on the beach. People came and warn us but we didn’t exactly know what a Typhoon is so why get worried! Besides this time of the year they usually don’t even get Typhoons thus it’s not suppose to go over an nr. 3, but it did.

I’ve realized that’s how things go… you get warned about a storm that’s going to hit your life if it’s in season for it or not.

you haven't seen anything yet !!!

Out of the blue, they came...unknown, uninvited and so unpredicted.                                                 THE SILVER TEAM three months ago, very few people knew, had seen or had heard of us. from all walks of life we come, diverse to the bone yet our appointment was devine. we did not await what we heard 'To be on the inside but actually on the outside to be whole and yet so broken to be walking, talking but actually dead but all that glitters isn't gold everybody is around, but nobody is near there hands on mine yet in their eyes i am frozen...

Learning in the Levant

Not just oil, sand and Islam, I've come to realise. The Middle East is an incredibly rich and deep spot on the globe. Egypt, being the first contact, eased us into the Arabic culture, being one of the most moderate Arab states. Although being there did have its challenges, coping with the otherness was not at all too difficult. I think I want to learn to speak Arabic, and Egypt may not be a bad choice for that either, as it is generally considered, by Westerners and Arabs alike, that their's is one of the most accessible dialects used. I...

Long overdue

Wow, i don't even know where to start. The past few months have been a roller coaster of emotions and happenings and blessings...God has been so good to me. During out time in Hungary ,some of our parents came to visit and my parents were among them. I have been looking forward to this date since May and finally it has arrived! I went to go pick up my parents at the airport and we had a wonderful reunion. It was really great to spend some time with my family and be able to share with them my experiences and...

Colourful Jamaica mon!

Read this out loud: "Mi jus waan do God work"
Guess what, you just spoke patois! That's the language of the Jamaicans. They also say things like "wha guaan?" which means what's going on? I really love the language; in fact, I love almost everything Jamaican.
