Guat’s up?

Guat’s up?
Ministering in a country that is of catholic belief, Mayan culture, a heritage of witchcraft and Satanism, idol worship and practises, generational curses and spiritual warfare, in Spanish and local dialects is quite confronting at first. n But God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of authority through the Spirit. In Luke 10:19 Jesus says to his disciples- “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions, and to overcome, all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you…”As a team we learnt and developed in our authority in and through the Spirit and...

Liquor store Biblestudy and Tropical Fish

Liquor store Biblestudy and Tropical Fish
I would easily describe Egypt as my most "successful" and enjoyable visit to a Muslim, Arab speaking nation, yet. Our month here was stacked with divine appointments and wonderful experiences. The climax of all these experiences happened last night when we found ourselves sitting in front of a Liquor store (photo left), 1h30 in the morning, giving a Bible study to Christians in desperate need of some fellowship. I'll summarize some of the experiences: In Cairo I met a guy on the street who wanted to know more about Christianity. That's usually enough to draw your attention, but the conversation...

Its not all about the destination but about the journey!

We are coming to the end of our time here in Thailand, and the last few days I have been thinking a lot about everything that we did here and all the people that we met and so forth. It made me realize one thing about myself, I am so focused on where I am going, that I forget about today!! I am always looking at where we are going next, how we are going to be ministering to the people when we get there, how awesome it is going to be over there and how we are going to...

God will send the rain in its season...

It's that time of year again where students try to raise funds for whatever they want to do. For me I never liked it, because it is hard to ask for money. I trust God that He will provide for me. I need R86 900 for next year and I was sitting at home and I was so nervous about getting this amount of money. God told me to go to Global Challenge, He gave me Isaiah 49:6 which says:" I will make you a light to the nations so that you may save people all over the world."(God's Word...

God is working wonders in Cuba and in our lives!

Cuba has been such an amazing experience!  What a wonderful country to start off our journey to all the Distant Island nations of the world.  As we look back on our time in Cuba, we are standing with so much thankfulness in awe of how perfectly in control God really is.  We had so many highlights in the past three weeks and our low lights were so small, silly and insignificant, that you can almost say our whole Cuba experience was just one big highlight.

An Impartation of Servanthood in Greece

An Impartation of Servanthood in Greece
We spent one week in Greece. One week that help to shape my life. Our ministry there was to clean up the accommodation facilities and prepare the camping grounds for the summer season. We were preparing the ground for summer camps...both physically and in prayer!:) In the afternoons we had the opportunity to swim in the ocean, take long walks along the shoreline, play some sports and explore the little coastal town of Leptokarya. We also had amazing times of worship on the grass outside and around the camp fire at night where God really revealed Himself to us in...

God's little girl

20180722_132056
Sitting in a church in Lapu Lapu, Philippines, that used a mall as a venue, I  was distracted by the play area for children next to where I was sitting. My attention was grabbed by a chubby little girl, playing. She was so beautiful and it gave me so  much pleasure, observing her trying out the different play equipment, how she enjoyed jumping on the trampoline even though she fell more than she actually jumped.  And when she tried something new and got hurt, her mom was right there to comfort her. Looking at this little girl God revealed something...

Son or Servant ?

Son or Servant?

Cairo

20 000 000 people in one city!! Have you ever imagine that? You don't want to! Woman walking around in scarfs, covering their faces! Their eyes are full of pain, heartbreak and rejection. How will we ever make a difference in a city so big with so many people? I saw how the whole of Egypt bow before Jesus Christ and declare that is Lord. Everything is possible for our God!!!
