I have travelled the world. Seen all the sites… but I am constantly confronted with the same question: “Do I love Christ more?

Normal 0 We arrived at 8:00 in Oaxaca, very tired and hungry. We prayed together and split up (some went to look for the cheapest bus tickets to Mexico City, while the rest had to stay with the luggage). The cheapest bus was at the bus station at the other end of the city and left at 23:00. We traveled to the other bus station and spent our day waiting in one of their waiting rooms. Some tried sleeping on the chairs, while others got out their mattresses and tried to make themselves comfortable on the...

As I write this blog, time is most definitely flying by. There is just over a day before I head away from home and on towards the start of this expedition. It is exciting to think that it really is time to pack up all the stuff I need into my one bag and say the last goodbyes! I had given most thought to this journey starting when I actually left NZ, but have realised that it really started a while back. God has already been teaching and challenging me, especially in trusting first in him! Rather than trying...
What is beauty? Who is the beholder?
Come and join me on a journey through Africa to the final destination - Zambia...
Beauty is the green fields and trees after the lovely rainy
season. It's the distribution of chips and cooldrinks in the
bucket-seated bus. The smile of Blessed (the child in the bus). Beauty is the humble, concerned woman at the busrink in
Buluwayo.
Hello friends, Here is an update on my journey. Again the pictures will tell the stories. This is our plane that took us to Madrid. We had to fly to Greece via Madrid. In Greece they had a strike so we had to wait on the runway for 3 hours before we arrived in Athens. When we finally arrived we could not found any transport because of the strike and had to sleep on the airport. The next morning the strike was over and we could use the brilliant public transport system of Greece. This is the view from outside...
Hi Everyone, I truly have mixed emotions when having to say, that the Work Your Way journey of 2011 has drawn to an end. On the one side it is sad that the journey has to come to an end, but it brings me absolute joy thinking back on how God has used my team and I across many nations being led by the Holy Spirit like we are called to in Acts 1:8 which says "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea...
Trevor, the photographer I worked with for years, only wore khaki, the green version of khaki. This was his brand, his style. And to finish off the colonial era explorer's look, he brandished a pith helmet in the same colour. We were in Gent, Belgium, reporting on a flower show for the magazine Garden and Home. People would look, point, and comment: "...Meester Leevingston..." Our editor asked explicitly for close ups of the Belgian King and Queen, the patrons of the flower show. I said ‘yes', as was my natural inclination. To find out later that that is easier said...
I do not think there are many words to express the beauty and magnificence of Morocco, nor can it be fully explained to someone who has not seen or experienced it for themselves. I do however believe words have a lot of power when it is used in the right way. Words can change even the smallest perspective and I believe we are the ones who can say them. I will attempt to give you but a glimpse of what I experienced here, not only of God's love for us but His adoration for the people who have not...
