My Creed

I am a chosen princess, ready to reign in beauty, honour, glory and integrity. I’m captivated, loved and adored by the King of kings and in love with Him. I am hidden in Him. I will not sit in and agree with the circle of mockers. I will stand up in God’s righteousness, not my own, and I will agree with God and have peace. I confidently speak, pray and minister truth, through worship and reverence for the Lover of my soul. I love the lost and encourage the feeble. I work diligently, delegate diligently and birth new beginnings passionately....

The Journey Continues

On the first day of training I found myself smack dab in the middle of it...people were going to tell their testimonies. Imagine that...I was far from ready to speak. I just wanted to sleep. And sleep I did, through people’s testimonies I dozed off a little but I managed to catch them all. I realized through listening to different testimonies that we are all on different obstacle courses that God celebrates daily and as He is making us into His image....   We are all walking our paths and running our individual races, but for such a time as...

Team life in Macedonia

Macedonia was beautiful. We were received with open South African arms and felt so at home, but the atmosphere changed when we entered the colorless Tavanoche camp. By the time we reached Macedonia most of the refugees had traveled on and it was only those without money or with children that were left. It was hard to lift spirits without even being able to communicate. So we fully relied on God. It was inspiring to see how people are obedient to God even if it was to their expense. We expected life for missionaries would be careless and fun. It...

A grace everlasting!!

By Elizma - 27 March 2008

Surely these past days we didn't have as much adventures and stories to tell than last week. But these days were granted to process the stuff I've been challenged with recently; the biggest of which is definitely the life of Peter, and how it's speaking to me.

Northbound and Work-your-way reunite in India!

Northbound and Work-your-way reunite in India!
We have finally arrived in Delhi from Varanasi, India. I can truely testify to seeing how God provides when we are in total dependance of Him. As a team we have had an amazing yet very challenging time in Varanasi. We were blessed to really experience how God brought light and truth to people in this very oppressed place... Ganga river, Varanasi Spriritual gurus next to the Ganga river, Varanasi The work-your-way team met up with us at the main bazaar this afternoon... felt like seeing family! We as a nothbound team are heading off to Agar to visit the Taj...

A Bit late

A Bit late
This was one of the best weeks. Let me start at the beginning at the prayer walk. We went on some prayer walks in Varanasi. Jeremy and I walked together, and before we started praying and asked God to show us where he wanted us to pray and for what, God gave Jeremy a picture of stairs and me a picture of a monkey god, and a man with a monkey sitting in the street [we saw him the earlier the day so we knew where he was] and a picture of a peace of red clothing with golden writing...

God is all we long for.......

God is all we long for.......
God is all we long for....   During the month of June we spent the majority of our time in Costa Rica and in Guatemala.  Because of the awesome climate, culture, landscape and people that exist in these regions it has become a huge tourist attraction point.   The Spirit sent us out one day to evangelise to the tourists in the streets of Panajachel – Guatemala.  Another team member and I decided to do a survey on the tourists and ask them a few questions concerning their travels.  We believed that this would help us understand way people travel...

Paraguay for the Home Run

Paraguay for the Home Run
To conclude our 8 month journey through South America we made a complete circle and returned to tropical green jungles with mango trees, red sand and rain storms. Here in Aragua they greet you with a fist pump, speak the Guarani language and give a profound "Amen y amen" at the end of prayers and church services. It is awesome to see what a huge percentage of church service time goes into prayer/conversation with God. After all, Jesus declared in Matt 21:13, "My house will be called a house of prayer." We were under the loving care of Belen and...

The Writer

There are good times, there are bad times, times of joy to the full, times of deep sadness, times we believe we are in control and times we clearly understand we are not. Do we know what will happen next in our lives? Certainly not. Although sometimes we wish we are able to. As many scenarios plays itself out in our lives, we begin to realise that the pen writing the story of our life is not in our own hands but in the hands of Another, One Who is far more creative, witty and funny than us.   Even...
