Oh, I see how this works!

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16

If we confess our sins he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

It's all about Jesus!

Hey all:) When I was thinking about what to write with regard to what I have experienced in training so far my initial thinking was to talk about all the amazing things God has done. To go into detailed stories about seeing God genuinely save people, seeing His faithfulness time and time again, stories of the beginnings of an expected, unstoppable revival in JBay. I was even tempted to share some of the funny stories and adventures I have had, the people I have met or even the way my eyes started sweating on the day I left friends and...

Speechless - luke10
We started our journey by feeling that we should go right from the airport, we didn´t know that the only exit from the airport was right, and suddenly realized it was not going to be an easy hike as we were heading down the highway in the blazing sun.  After a while a car picked us up, and took us in to city centre, dropped us off and we started heading down the highway again where a van picked us up and took us on the way to Copacabana. From there on we walked to the closest beach and it...

Want to test your faith, come to India. After a few weeks in India we have already seen that God provides in magnificent ways. We arrived in Dehli and after a few nights of recovering from hearing people sniff, spit and pretend to think that West Indies and South Africa were in the same continent we got on a train to Kota. When we arrived in Kota we met up with our contact person who then took us to the orphanage where we scraped, sanded, washed and painted the front and side of a church where we not only preached...

Well the last 8 weeks have been the most testing and most exciting of my life!
I have seen and done things that I still can't believe!  Eating chicken feet and sleeping in standard bank ATM room are probably the low light but the same 24hrs seeing provison of steers burger and hitchiking home (j-bay) were definately in the highlights.....what was it all for....preparation to head into the nations!

Gautemala, how I got challenged!

Gautemala....

When I think back I remember all the colours and the atmophere and how God is busy there, working through different people. We started of with two days of physical work. We helped a church to build a new church. We had to get big stones and rocks for the building of the church. The first day I think we were just to many for the work, so the second day we split up into two groups.

ONE THING TO REMEMBER!

When Jannie arrived to start the missions and outreach part of our course, he asked a very unfair question to each one of us.  He wanted to know what the ONE thing we remember from the course thus far would be if we forgot all else.  What would be the one thing that stands out?

Of course we all felt that it was impossible to answer this question as there have simply been too many wonderful revelations from God during the first four weeks already.  But here are the answers from the team:

Dull, dusty and dead... or is it?

img_1494.jpgThe first day we arrived in China I must say I was very negative and thought to myself  'Zylna how in the world are you going to survive 4 weeks in this place?' But knowing God, He had a bigger and better picture in mind which was not visible to me at that time.  China seemed so dull, dusty and all and all just dead, spiritually as well as physically!!
