Then later they day to peeps who where suppose to take me away so they can do my surprise party got distracted and when we got back to church there were search parties out looking for us while the rest of the team was eating so long as to not be late for the church service. Macedonia.

I'm still trying to figure out who this God of mine really is. Last night I found myself scolding God as if He were a little child. I felt like He wanted me to come on this journey. Knowing I don't have the funds. I felt like He must have known what He was doing but now it feels like He just doesn't care. After I spoke my mind for a good 30 min He simply asked me if I was done. A moment after someone walked in. Gave me all the answers I just asked God and walked out....

In the beginning...

My Biography

My Biography
I was born on 3 February 1984, Pretoria South Africa. My name is Liza Kruger, and this is my story of how I can testify that God's grace is sufficient for me.  He is all I need. And He is more than enough. Usually people end with the moral of their story, but I want to start with mine. As this is what defines my life. As I look back at my 24 years of life, I can see one thing only, GRACE! I am one of those people who can testify that even though I let go of God, many...

Adventure in Istanbul

Adventure in Istanbul
Once again I realised that God blessed us with accommodation near the tourist attraction sites. Every country. This time we stayed about 300m from the Hagia Sofia. This is really close to The Blue Mosque.During our time here we were completely tourists. Could not go into all the tourist places, but we could go to them and take a photo just to say that we were there. That is my goal if it is not possible to enter. We had amazing times in the Word of God and enjoyed ourselves in presenting scriptures to each other in creative ways. I learned...

Expect the Unexpected

One of the reasons why I applied for “work your way” was definitely Israel. After a view weeks of Training in South Africa, there was no leader and too many young guys in the “work your way” team.. God had different plans for me. I prayed and decided to join “Hidden World”, the only team which doesn't go to Israel. :( So I prayed that God will make a way to go to Israel. And the last days of training the opportunity for our team to go to Israel was given. So our team prayed and we decided to...

Nepal. What a discovery.

Our time in Nepal was moderately long, but jam packed with things to do. We met amazing people, spent time in amazing places and experienced the culture first hand in many different situations. Where to start? Maybe in the Himalayas where we spent a week moving "mountains" of rocks for our Sherpa friends who will be building a church later.  From being crammed up against each other (and others) in public busses fit to seat 20 people comfortably, but with a max fitting of up to 40 people, to walking from early morning, visiting churches, till the evening, God met us...

Fun on the trains

Lots of things happed on the trains in India. Schalk and I had to sleep together on a bed that is as wide as the distance for my fingers to my elbow. We had to do that for 2 nights now.

This one night we were sitting all together and one unlucky Indian man was sitting against the wall in the corner and doesn't understand English. So we wanted to mess with his head a little bit. We dined like Peter Pan. (Everything we did was fake and imaginary) We talked to the waiter and ordered starters, meals and milk shakes, everything you could think of. Schalk offered the man his drink but he didn't want it, so Rueben drank it. We held our pose as much as possible and had so much fun. The poor man. hahaha.

Andes Mountain Adventures - April

Andes Mountain Adventures - April
The Andes Mountains – Peru The past month we spent the majority of our time in the Andes Mountains.  We met up with missionaries from South Africa and we traveled into the mountains with them and three other local evangelists.  The aim of the trip was to travel to smaller, unreached villages and to spread the good news of Jesus to the locals through preaching, the acting of dramas and distributing approximately 3000 New Testament bibles.  We did allot of walking/hiking, because most of these villages are very hard to reach due to the rain season and the lack of...
