"Silver and Gold is tested by fire but the Lord tests the heart." What an ecstatic time we have had, although we did not experiance all of Vietnam we experianced the fullness of its people. On arrival in Hotch Chi Mihn city, we found a hostle. Vietnam is surprisingly humid. Robey mentioned the humidity is what gets to you not so much the heat. We had a great couple first nights in the centre of town. Public Parks are available scattered across the city weaved inbetween the busiest roads you could imagine! Scooters swarm back and forth, uncautionary...

Knowing God means being exposed to supernatural knowledge and deeds. I cannot believe I was so blind to think any of this could be boring? But then again i could not see without Him opening my eyes. So if you are reading this and you do not understand or you think God is boring, just do yourself a favor and ask for ears to hear and eyes to see. It is not a worldly experience. Of course it is not because God is not an earthly being. He is not what we have made Him to be. His ways are...
Lets travel back in time and go to Cuba. My mind was blown when we got off at the airport in Havana after a 13h flight from Russia. The streets were filled with very old cars from way back. With a killing heat, no toilet paper and no english speaking people we started our time in Cuba. I thought we were going to Cuba to build, work in gardens and to serve the people there. Few did I know about what was waiting for me. First of all the pizza's is like R5 and the ice creams R0,50... Crazy!...
What a privilege! We started our time in Indo on a very luxurious note. Meeting some parents in Bali. Oh what a glorious time it was. Beaches, sun, fun and a whole lot of feedback. Of course when you start to invest and spend time with people, you grow attached. Yes, it was devastating to say goodbye to the parents (and Reinhardt) I can't even imagine how hard it had to be for the biological children, if saying goodbye made me cry and I was just a friend. After Bali we met up with our friends at Destiny...
Where do I start? We just finished our first country: Israel- the Promised land! And I would like to share some of the amazing things we experienced. When we left SA the 11 th of March we didn't fly direct to Israel but to Jordan from where we over landed to Israel! We landed around 16:00 the afternoon- and leaving for the border post was just not a option since we would be caught in the dark! It was SO cold in Jordan and they predicted snow that night, we were planning on having our first sleepover in the airport in Amman,...
Lets do the time hop again!! Back to the 1960s. The first two days of Cuba I did not say much, which is very unusual for me. I was trying my best to take in everything going on around me! I stood at the airport looking at old American and Russian cars driving past as the norm and the one or two modern cars looked very out of place. Yet the people driving the cars looked very modern and trendy. The buildings are grand and ancient, the streets are swept clean and on every corner there is a little vendor...
Called to the nations... I want to share God's provision with everyone. He is faithful in the small thing and also in the huge things (like asking people for money). It is such a humbling experience to see God provide and see how God stir in people all around the worlds hearts to give and to pray. I'm sure if it isn't for all the prayers I wouldn't be so blessed. I did some maths and I realised that R48 000-00 ($6400) divided by 80days = R600-00 ($80) a day. November 2008 21 Alabanza - Pta 22...

When you read Luke 10 in the Bible it seems very straight forward, simple and easy... but in reality it is difficult to know how to apply it practically in today’s world. Our Luke 10 experience had many interesting and fun aspects, but the three things that were most evident in our Luke 10 journey, was definitely: We Prayed a lot, We Ate a lot and we Laughed a lot!
I'm still trying to figure out who this God of mine really is. Last night I found myself scolding God as if He were a little child. I felt like He wanted me to come on this journey. Knowing I don't have the funds. I felt like He must have known what He was doing but now it feels like He just doesn't care. After I spoke my mind for a good 30 min He simply asked me if I was done. A moment after someone walked in. Gave me all the answers I just asked God and walked out....
I've been staring at this blank screen for too long, typing, back spacing, trying, thinking.. I wanted to have a cool start for my blog you know. But..let me use what God taught me this whole year. Be Real. Spontaneous. Soooooo this Blog will be about my Thailand and Malaysia experiences. We first experienced the lovely Bangkok and then traveled to Chang Mai , knowing our 'Luke 10' is waiting there for us. We were divided into smaller teams and then sent out to survive and spread the gospel for a week without anything except the clothes we were wearing....
