Time REVEALS all It is time share what has been on my heart for a few week now.... the question i have been aking myself is where do i begin and how do i put into words what i have experienced... We have finally arrived in Guatemala, but not without any effort. WE set out for the journey from Peru to Panajachal, Guatemala a week before we arrived. It was an incredible journey. We had prepared as much as we could before we traveled, but there was no way of know the advnture that lied ahead.
What rhymes with Panama? Mama. And what rhymes with mama? Snacks and toiletries. 139 days after hugging our moms goodbye at OR Tambo, it was finally time for them (unfortunately not all of them) to hop on a plane and fly half way across the world to spend time with the team. They came to visit the one child that they sent out but left with 10 new children that they will welcome home as their own. Two days in Panama City and five days in Boquete offered many opportunities for our moms to get to know the...
From that very first moment we set foot on the small airport in Katmandu I knew that Nepal is going to be a wonderful journey and that the Lord has BIG things planned for us ! When Pastor Padam picked us up from the airport and took us to the church I immediately felt so comfortable. It was as if they were family I've known all my life, and to experience the feelimg of "real family love" was amazing (God really know what you need every moment.) and I thank God for comforting me in that...
So we started our Jordan trip with a very easy border crossing that put us in Mafraq about 2 hours earlier than anyone expected. Once again we got very few and basic questions at the border and gave them honest answers and said some things we probably should not say. We started our ministry at …. and that concluded our time of ministry in Jordan. We had the privilege of being donated some money to go traveling in Jordan and we used it to go to Wadi Rum and a few places along the way for our last days in...
Wait! What? This is not about me? So I am selfish. Done. That's it. What else is left to say? Listen to this sentence - it tells you values that Global Challenge decided on. We share the Good news to a world in need. Guess what I concentrated on. Yup, good guess! The 'we'-part. Luckily I can promise you this: God will reveal unto you if in anything you are otherwise (than what He wants) minded (Phil 3:15). Because He is faithful to His word, He came to show me how absolutely selfish I am. I started realizing how...
The WORK YOUR WAY team is at the moment in the south of India at an orphanage shearing the love of Christ to the kids.
Since the robbery where some of my things were stolen, God continued to journey with me on the topic of being content. So i see this as the follow up of being content. In Guatemala the pastor approached me and said that I will preach in his church the following week. This was quite scary, because he is so radical and I didn't know what to preach on. Then God just started telling me I should talk about what I went through and being content. With this God took me to different scriptures about contentment and just broke it open...
Sounds the call to come together, and united we shall stand. It is not every day that I get to experience larger-than-life movements or moments. I remember 2 weeks ago when Dawid made the announcement at our weekly celebration meeting: "the community will embark on a 10 day Daniel fast, in preparation to one of the biggest gatherings in our country. Join us if you wish. And also, we are praying for peace, unity and salvation for our land". I looked around as the girls who were clearly thinking the same thing... fooood!? Whyyyyy!? Noooooo!!!! So we started day...
It has now been more than three weeks in Guatemala and what a wonderful time it has been. Arriving in Guatemala we traveled to Panajachel where we would spend all our time in Guatemala. This is a small tourist type town right next to the huge Atitlan Lake, surrounded by volcanoes and mountains. With friendly Maya/Spanish people, great food and just a really relaxed island kind of feeling in the air! God also blessed us with a great Hotel/House where the whole team stays. This is really great as this is our first time since Zambia that the whole team...
