Dancing on the walls of Jerusalem

Philippians. 2:1-7 “So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not...

Are you content? (Cont.)

Since the robbery where some of my things were stolen, God continued to journey with me on the topic of being content. So i see this as the follow up of being content.  In Guatemala the pastor approached me and said that I will preach in his church the following week. This was quite scary, because he is so radical and I didn't know what to preach on. Then God just started telling me I should talk about what I went through and being content. With this God took me to different scriptures about contentment and just broke it open...

Amor Cuba

Amor Cuba
Even though we have left Santiago, Cuba over a month ago, and new memories and visitors have filled our days, I think our whole team keenly look at pictures of Cuba and just smile. The kind of grin you give when you find a childhood picture of yourself or when you see an old couple share an ice cream. I think this update is so overdue, due to the fact that describing our experience in Cuba is as wonderful, complex and diverse as the country itself. For starters, Cuba is a communistic country, but as our Cuban friends explained to...

Race Update from Malaysia to Thailand

Race Update from Malaysia to Thailand
As most of you already know we as south bound had to race from Mlaysia to Thailand. We had to accomplish a bunch of tasks and yes the Orange team arrived first and YES I only say arrived first(Gratz to the pinks). We can second due to some technical issues but hey we moved from third place in the previous race to second and the team spirit was a lot higher and we really enjoyed the race. We as a team really found each other and found out that some people are morning people and others are night people. We...

"40 hours to the Promised Land" WYW Exodus

Waaaa who would have thought that the first sentence off a blog can take 10 minutes to think of. Neither did I, but I guess I just wanted it to be the right one, but this one will do. Well I will get straight into it. Road to the Promised Land was quite an experience both spiritual and physical and in 40 hours we had a little taste off what took Israelites 40 years.  (Exodus 16:35) Thank God it was hours and not years otherwise I would be writing you this when I would be 60. It all...

Mission imPOOsible!

Buenas Dias (good day) from the thriving city of Bogota, Colombia.

Currently we find ourselves in the third highest city in South America found in the Andes mountains, 8500 meters above sea level, unwinding from two weeks of toiling and really applying the “getting down to earth” core value of global challenge.  As we begin to shift focus to our next crazy adventure to Peru, we invite you to embark on a short stroll down memory lane in Fusagasuga, Colombia.

Contacts in High Places

Contacts in High Places
Trevor, the photographer I worked with for years, only wore khaki, the green version of khaki. This was his brand, his style. And to finish off the colonial era explorer's look, he brandished a pith helmet in the same colour. We were in Gent, Belgium, reporting on a flower show for the magazine Garden and Home. People would look, point, and comment: "...Meester Leevingston..." Our editor asked explicitly for close ups of the Belgian King and Queen, the patrons of the flower show. I said ‘yes', as was my natural inclination. To find out later that that is easier said...

Our First real Challenge..

Our First real Challenge..
On the 1st of April 2012 06:00 am WYW received our first challenge and our deadline was the 3rd of April 13:00 pm... Our challenge wasn't for the faint-hearted, we had to travel from Panajachel, Guatemala to Cancun, Mexico.. We took 6 chicken-busses from Panajachel to the Mexican border and during that time we saw how amazing GOD's provision is. GOD really helped us during this tough time. After the border we took 2 taxi's to San...
