The Power of the Seed

Thinking of my time in the Philippines I am reminded of Isaiah 55! I was sitting on Olango island, under a palm tree...praying about the Philippines and her people. My Bible calls the chapter “An Invitation to Abundant Life”. It was a word in season – not just for me as the sower of the seed...but also for a people that desperately needs the LORD.

A short blog from Tibet

What a place to be! I love Tibet!
I was standing at a budhist tempel gate this afternoon, looking at them crawling on their stomachs for budda (as part of a prayer ritual). My heart goes out to these people, if they could only know the truth.
Next to me in the internet cafe is a lady singing like an angel, so beautiful. I can't help thinking how beautiful she can sound if she was singing worship songs to the Lord.

Facebook is illegal in China so I am just letting you know how things are going through this short blog

Blessings

Life After Death

Life after death, what kind of death? Well the death that matters, the death of oneself, the death that allows God to take full control.   Are you at this stage? Or are you going through the stage where you are right, where you are not open for change. Let me explain to you how the "leader lists" went in my Northbound 2011: God, Jesus, Holy Spirit GCEX Leaders Project Leaders Small Team Leaders "Vice"-Small Team Leaders Pee - Ons (in other words..me) Yes I was the ultimate pee-on, its the best place to be, because you learn humility the...

Be like a tree...

Be like a tree...
“ I wanne be like a tree...planted by the water...trusting in the Father to help me grow                                                          the deeper my roots go...the better my fruit show...the Living Waters for all to see” This is a simple children’s song that I heard long ago, but when I actually thought about it - it turned out to be very profound words. It is also what God has put on my heart for my...

Exploring Panama

Exploring Panama
For 12 days we stayed in a church in Gamboa, across the panama canal. One of our verses for the year is Isaiah 55:5 'Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you.' Everyday, huge ships travel through the Panama canal from the other side of the world and we got to watch them sail past. They didn't exactly come running but instead these nations came slowly sailing past us. It was Gods word spoken in the beginning and we got to see it being fulfilled and that's exactly...

Listening

Nickie-listenin_20200316-101016_1
There are known knowns, known unknowns and unknown unknowns. It's easy to predict what's in store for us as a team this year. I know we're all persuing Christ even as He's persuing each one of us. I nor the team know what to expect from the countries we'll be going but we do know to what countries we'll be going. Lastly and for the most part we don't know what to expect, we don't know the relationships we'll make nor the people we'll meet, we don't know about the lives Christ will touch through us. God is good and...

Easter in Transit

An unforeseen pilgrimage gave me new insight in the happenings celebrated during Easter. At sunset before Good Friday we arrived at Dar Es Salaam. Unsure of whether to spend the night at a friend of a friend or to travel, we huddle and pray. We decide to cancel the arrangement and find the overnight ferry to Zanzibar.    As Jesus was captured just after sunset, Peter and the disciples were uncertain whether to follow and risk persecution or stay at a safe distance. Peter follow the captured Jesus, and standing in the spotlight of the guard’s fire, betrays his beloved...
