Russia, awesome Russia

There really is not enough words to ever describe the wonderful and blessed time we had in Russia, i personally think it is so special that every global challenger past and present and yet to come should aspire to visit this once isolated country and go and learn about hospitality, friendliness, passion and commitment to mention but a few!! I am not going to waste your time by forcing you to read so just enjoy the video of our time in Russia God bless The silver team [video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSCWEvNA98I 100x100]

OODLES AND OODLES OF NOODLES….CHINESE STYLE!

The past month I have been traversing round the great land of the east and I have thoroughly enjoyed the culture, the challenges with the language (become quite good at the art of charades I might add!), and the beautiful countryside. Although it has been a very challenging leg of our journey in terms of team dynamics, I have learnt a lot and grown through these situations, both personally and in my faith with the Lord.

Godseeking lifestyle becoming reality and practical.

Mendoza... 4000km to Lima Peru via Bolivia and only 5 days to do it in a limited budget. Yes we arrived in Mendoza, Argintina and got the task to meet them in Lima, Peru in 5 days time with limited money. Our fist day we just rested at a hostel and figured everything out and really seeked God in our journey and how He wants us to travel.  The whole lime team experienced to travel to peru through Bolivia, which makes the yourney 1000km more than through Chilli. We started looking at prices for busses and trains, but because of...

Indescribable India

Indescribable India
You need faith for this... "A" for away but also "A" for AMAZING! As northbound we had a challenging project to complete within 14days. As soon as we got to the orphanage in India, our ministry started... Our projects include children's ministry and transform the physical appearance of the orphanage by scraping, sanding and painting the walls.  We prayed for R25 000 to complete the project and bless the children. God miraculously provided R14 900! He also led a Hindi business man to give us R1100 discount on materials we needed, as well as sandpaper for free when he heard...

Abundance in Brazil

So on the 14 August the team left Panama for Brazil where they were on their Luke 10. In this time I stayed in Panama after I felt God putting it on my heart to pray for the team as they travel. So we joined up again after 10 days, each with different experiences and testimonies. So after these 10 days our ministry officially started in Brazil and we had to split up again, with ministry at 2 different places. Six of the team made there way to Sao Paulo and the other 4 to Vitoria da Conquista. I was...

Expect the Unexpected? Blessed and blessed and blessed in the Caymans!

We all had the same experiences in the Cayman Islands, as a team, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we all experienced it the same. God works in different ways and we are all on different journeys in our walk with God. Here are the thoughts of each team member on how they experienced our time in the Cayman Islands.

Almost one week of Global Challenge has passed!

Almost one week of Global Challenge has passed!
After spending close to 0ne week in J-Bay we are all amazed at what God has started to do in our lives so far! We had a local challenge this week and we had so much to do in such a short time that we had to run from point A to B and our group can really testify that god really provided in every need! We had a lot of challenges including washing 10 cars and eating 20 ice-creams, between 4 people this can turn out to be a bit too much! We also had to decorate a cake and...

Read if you dare - Yolandi

In Revelations it says that the devil will be defeated by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.  Thus with this statement I start the hardest blog and testimony to write but also the most freeing and life giving experience.  So please read this if you long for change and long for God to change your life because this story shows of God's grace and His love to never leave nor forsake us.   This testimony I write about myself and what God broke down in my time spend in Guatemala.  During our time in Guatemala...

Jesus is in Jerusalem*

Jesus is in Jerusalem*
Israel, the promised land, the country where Jesus walked, the place where God revealed so much of His character to us through the Israeli nation. Visiting this special place is an experience that can hardly be captured or described in mere words or pictures. It is seeing a piece of living history, a walk through the gospels. From Bethlehem where Jesus was born to Capernaum next to the sea of Galilea where Jesus ministered to Jerusalem, the city that Jesus loved. How strange and heartbreaking to see the same historic events being viewed so differently through the glasses of different...

Beautiful New Zealand

Beautiful New Zealand
We have the privelege of visiting the beautiful country of New Zealand for 2 weeks. It is very cold here but we are not complaining after the heat from India. The rain and wind reminds me of the typical Cape winters we use to have back in South Africa.    We spend the first week at Snells Beach  and had a time of debrief and rest.I can assure you, we enjoyed that a lot. We are staying with Host-parents during our time in Auckland and it is wonderful to visit my family from last year again. During the past week we helped...
