Wagon maker. The Almighty Yahweh has called me as His son, established me as a rock and planted me as a fruit-bearing tree. He has lifted me on eagle’s wings, therefore I will run and not grow weary, I shall walk and not get tired. Integrity is the aim of my game, with fear and respect for Yahweh and others. I will run from evil. I will live for Christ and be seated with Him with love, joy and peace in my heart. I am baptised in the Holy Spirit. My word is my word. I like to be holy...

“ oh, what would happen if we were beautiful” - Tim Timmons Sunday-afternoon in Guatemala City. The morning we took part in a beautiful church service, abounding in truth and peace. Now, however, the echoes of a woman preaching and screaming at the top of her lungs rise from the hill across the busy highway. My limited Spanish can make out a few things: glory and Holy Spirit and receive, receive, receive. I'm sitting a good kilometre away but my head wants to burst at the hysteria and the screaming. And with that a sadness engulfs my heart. ...
While our first week in Nepal we focused on encouraging the churches, the second week we focused on adding to them. After a six hour bus ride to Pokhara we immediately started walking to unreached villages, sharing the truth with the people and handing out tracts written in Nepali. We had some great conversations and people were usually willing to listen to us. God really protected us there because after we got back Ben (The Nepali missionary we stayed with) told us that the people in those villages usually attack Christians and he had been too scared to go until now....
Taking a peek back on the journey, I realize how you really only see the bigger picture of God's master plan, once you turn around and look at the memory. It feels like it had been a year since we left Fusagasuga, but that's probably just because we have been in 5 different countries in the last 4 weeks, with a program jam-packed with ministry and spiritual growth. Having our first little period of rest while waiting on the Lord, I have been trembling the white beaches of the Barbadian bliss, looking back on the journey, recapping and rewinding. In...
Starting on this GCEX year I constantly heard about his idea of a Luke 10 journey. I did not really understand what they were talking about. Through time I realized that somewhere on our journey we will go out on a faith journey explained in Luke 10:1-12. This journey would consist total dependance on God and His plan were to go, stay, eat etc. We had to follow in God's path for 10 days and hold on to only one comfort and that was your faith in God. I would like to share this experience with you and...
You can take the gypsies out of the suffering program but you can never take the suffering program out of the gypsies… We need to explain the term ‘suffering program”. While in Niger a Canadian missionary friend heard what our budget was and that we would not be able to afford air-con in the 45 degree Niamey heat and thus referred to our team as the suffering program.(This term needs to be said in a thick Canadian accent).Traveling on a shoestring budget in Africa has taught us to be VERY resourceful. You know like taking enough sachets of tomato sauce at...

We started out in the Transkei with a lot of uncertainty, and yet that is where God just loves to come and bless you with surprises! From arriving and pitching our tents in the dark, we woke up to the most stunning view over Coffee bay! It was amazing to experience how open the community was in lending us the tools we need for building the fence and jungle gym: pick axes, spades, wheelbarrows, "koevoet", pliers... Heaven's flood gates were really open! Then the work started! A typical day would start with solo time at 06:00; breakfast at 07:00; D-groups...
So the Luke 10 challenge started for Freddy and I, we had no idea where to go!
