Niger Relief Feedback - Through the eyes of Nicky Ferreira

Niger Relief Feedback - Through the eyes of Nicky Ferreira
"As Short as I could get it It was a while ago that I was standing in church and we sang the words “no matter what the cost, I’ll go…” and the words struck me. It is sang so easily, but is it easily met? No matter what it will cost us… will we go where He directs us? Words so easily spoken, “Lord, I am willing for anything… use me”, but what we don’t always understand is that God will take you seriously, even if you did not mean it seriously.  '   God took that to the...

Pokhara - The jewel in the Himalaya

Pokhara - The jewel in the Himalaya
While our first week in Nepal we focused on encouraging the churches, the second week we focused on adding to them. After a six hour bus ride to Pokhara we immediately started walking to unreached villages, sharing the truth with the people and handing out tracts written in Nepali. We had some great conversations and people were usually willing to listen to us. God really protected us there because after we got back Ben (The Nepali missionary we stayed with) told us that the people in those villages usually attack Christians and he had been too scared to go until now....

Impacted by India

Hello

As I write this, I am sitting on a two day train from the North of India to the South. And I literally do not have the words to fully describe what I have experienced here (And for those of you who know me well, that is a miracle in itself ;-)

What a Privilege

What a Privilege
What a privilege. What a phrase. Not only was this a common phrase used during training, but it's a phrase we, as Explore Africa, will be taking with us into the nations. This is not just a phrase - it's an attitude, a lifestyle rather. Life is all about perspective, and this is ours... What a privilege to be children of God, to be part of His Kingdom and to advance it. What a privilege to travel the world in a God-seeking lifestyle with the desire to serve, love and restore. What a privilege to get to share our journey...

A tribute to our Refugee friends.

It rained today, the type of weather that screams 'stay in bed'. I didn't feel like going to the camp but I promised you I would, so I went.  I had lots of plans for new games we could play and I also promised to still braid your hair.  But you weren't there... I walked through the camp, expecting you to come running, screaming my name as you always did, but you didn't. There were no running footsteps, no waving hair and bright smile. No one eagerly grabbing my hand and saying 'come, come' to play a new game....

Indo.

What a privilege! We started our time in Indo on a very luxurious note. Meeting some parents in Bali. Oh what a glorious time it was. Beaches, sun, fun and a whole lot of feedback. Of course when you start to invest and spend time with people, you grow attached.   Yes, it was devastating to say goodbye to the parents (and Reinhardt) I can't even imagine how hard it had to be for the biological children, if saying goodbye made me cry and I was just a friend.    After Bali we met up with our friends at Destiny...
