What is man that You are mindful of him?

"When I look at Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
the moon and the stars which You have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him?
and the son of man that you care for him?"

The Story of the Traveling Travelzoonz

The Story of the Traveling Travelzoonz
The following story is based on true events. During our time in Panama I was inspired to earnestly seek child like faith. This is to Ann, Emma and Pastor Bill. "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children"- Matthew 11:25The Travelzoonz were in a land much like a prison. The land had walls around it. The clock was tickady-tock-ticking, so they took a truck and a machine bird to travel to new lands. O, it was a big truck they travelled with. A...

Distand Worlds Team: Deported from Colombia!!!

Monday, as we were eating our delicious hamburger~supper, Tom and Eunice (two of the missionaries at the base in Fusa) came running in, panic~stricken faces! "There was a news flash just now!!! All tourists must immediately leave Colombia! The bus is coming to pick you up in 45 minutes!!!!" Wow!! For a moment we just sat there, staring at each other, not knowing what's going on...and then we jumped up! Within 10 minutes our backpacks were packed, chaos everywhere! Our hosts asked if we want to let our parents know or just inform prayer support before we leave for Bogota,...

The thirstry

The thirstry
Our first few days in Turkey was resting and exploring with our hostel being right behind the Hagia Sophia museum. We had no ministry point here so we were trusting God to open new doors for us. So between just trying to process Israel and trying to soak up Istanbul, we took it pretty slow, praying on where we should go and what we should do. Our only other mission was to apply for our Macedonia visas, which we prayed about a lot. But God is good and the application process went super smooth, something that is impossible according to...

Halfway through Nepal

When God calls you on an adventure, you say yes. No asking questions or checking your schedule. Just a simple, no second thoughts, YES! So with one month left of traveling the world, eating what is set before me and sleeping anywhere, I am now saying yes more than ever. It started with a trip into the foothills of the Himalayas to a small Sherpa village. So with an 'off road' bus we traveled for 10hours on a gravel road and then some with a jeep or two. We arrived at our destination after sunset and were welcomed by the...

Summary of a jammin journey with Jesus around the world

Wow... this was deffinetly THE MOST AMAZING year by far!! It started off with an hour show of fireworks, celebration for what was to come, but for me also a farewell of a part of my life that was difficult to let go. I didn't think that it would be forever and it was also not just a part if I look back now. I went on a journey of life time thinking that I was going to change people's lives, do something for God... change the world... I counted up the cost and He was worth leaving everything behind...

Being pursued when it rains....

Being pursued when it rains....
As a child I often looked at the rain and imagined it was God’s tears falling from heaven because of all the terrible things in the world. As an adult with knowledge of science, I now sit and mostly just enjoy the trickle of water down the window or the pitter-patter on the roof. This morning, however, I found those thoughts of old returning together with a feeling of longing that was not from me. In my past ignorance I have prayed that God would break my heart for what breaks His (a truly irresponsible prayer if you are not...

In Jesus' footsteps.

In Jesus' footsteps.
I'm Ida Uys. I'm a student at the University of North-West, Potchefstroom campus. I'm studying physiology and biochemistry, 2nd year.  My walk with the Lord is only for a short while now, but absolutely worth it. I never could imagine my life with Him. Then I was dragged to a conference on campus and my life changed. I actually just went because of my friends, but i realized that I was totaly on the highway to hell. I was scared, NO, terrified that the Lord won't forgive all my sins. And as I thought about that it became...
