"The Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him , two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go. And he said to them, " The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few . Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest. Go your way; behold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. Carry no moneybag, no knapsack, no sandals , and greet no one on the road. Whatever house you enter, first say, ' Peace be...

There's a lot of plagiarism involved in this piece. I hope you enjoy it. For starters, the title. Ever since I've read the book, The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning, I've been itching to use the word ragamuffin. I only hope it fits well with the context below. "In going where you have to go, and doing what you have to do, and seeing what you have to see, you dull and blunt the instrument you write with. But I would rather have it bent and dulled and know I had to put it on the grindstone again and hammer...
My journey South The ink of this skilful writer became dry but the time has come to fill this page with words that proclaim His Glory! The journey started South with a team showing fruit of faith and obedience. We did an extreme overland hitch hike from Mendoza, Argentina to Lima Peru. This journey took us 4-6 days! On the border of Chile the Lord reminded me of these words I spoke a few days ago:” All that I desire is to know Your word and walk in Your presence!” The great test came when my day bag, with EVERYTHING...
Seeing that I haven’t posted as many blogs as I would have loved to, I thought I’d give you this praise report to give thanks for all your faithful prayers, to inspire you to keep praying, to tell you that our God is alive and faithful and to give all the honour and glory to Him. On Saturday morning, the team and I drove into Auckland city to meet up with AJ and his crew. Our expectations were high, but nothing could prepare us for what was ahead. We split into smaller groups for some prayer walking. As we walked...
Two days ago God met us in a little convent in Bethlehem where we stay. It was the night before Palm Sunday celebration. We were on our knees pleading for peace in the Holy land and humility in our hearts. We were struck by the passage in Mathew 21 where Jesus entered the city on a donkey. Not a war horse or a mighty steed but a humble donkey. We have the spirit of Jesus in us, and as we enter city's all over the world we must be clothed in humility!!!! Hosanna to the King, not the donkey. Palm...
On Tuesday, the 2 nd of June 2010, at 07:00 in the morning the dawn broke on what would be Explore Africa's first day of food distribution in Niger. We left Zinder in the almost pouring rain which is a miracle in itself considering that it has only rained once in this region this whole year. We chose for this day the small town of Dogo 35 Km's from Zinder. According to our sources in Zinder, Dogo is a town already affected by the 2010 food shortages and the need abounds all over the surrounding district. Yhaiea is a...
Daar is die heeltyd ‘n stryd in elkeen van ons. Soos twee honde wat baklei,‘n wit hond en ‘n swart hond. En die een wat wen is die een wat jy voer! Watter een voer jy? Hoe voer jy hom? Rom7:24...
“Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs are the kingdom of heaven.” Matt 5:3 In A.W. Tozer’s book the pursuit of God he dedicates a chapter to the subject of ‘The blessedness of Possessing nothing’, the first beattitude. He here explains that the Lord prepared for man a world full of useful things for his delight, thing made for man’s use. But that these things have over thousands of years become more and more important to man and have become part of the man’s heart, taking the space in its heart which was created for God to reign in...
