We have officialy been in Jeffrey's for 3 Days, met our team and all the awesome people that came back from the one year journeys. Really looking forward to what's coming the next 80 Days and really letting God take our hands and leading us all the way. Received our first challenge today AND WE ARE THE BLUE TEAM( aka Know as the Best) hehe, running around Jeffrey's competing against the other team. Howzit my China!

South Africa. China. Two worlds collide. Dumplings, fried rice, noodles, squinted eyes, communism, seriously bumpy roads, bicycles, green tea, lots of people, more people – this is China. Howzit my China!

Argentina: A Spanish Luke 10

Argentina: A Spanish Luke 10
Luke 10 stories are bound to be interesting stories always. The fact of the matter in this case was: A group of 3 people going into a foreign, Spanish speaking country for 7 days without money, transport, food or a plan, except trusting God for Devine appointments along the way. How can you not see God's hand working in a time like this, where you have to trust Him for everything? When we are weak, He is strong. In Salta we said chao to the rest of the Hidden World group and with an excitement/slight nervousness inside we started hitchhiking...

LOCAL IS "LEKKER" IN INDIA....

LOCAL IS "LEKKER" IN INDIA....
During our challenge up in the Himalaja's it was all about doing what the locals do and it turned out to be a lot of fun. PLANTING RICE  The challenge started out with us sitting in class ready for another exegesis.  This time however, the passage given to us could not be found in the Bible and contained all kinds of interesting tasks.  From planting rice, finding a donkey and one wearing a sari while riding it up hill, drinking chai tea and visiting a  tea plantation, playing a cricket game against a local team, preparing an Indian dish from...

tk..tk..tk..tk..tk..tk..tk..tk..tk..tk.. AAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!!

Landing in London was a bit like coming home, the flood of memories, the excitement to see everyone and to hear all the news, the nothing to do while everyone else lives their lives and you're "on holiday."   I was super excited to see my all my friends again, the ‘are we there yet' excitement you have as a kid in the way to the sea. And I wasn't disappointment. It was like I never left, the comfortable with each other and just being. It started me thinking... a lot through the year people prayed for me to just...

You or God...?

You or God...?
At the beginning of this year I made the choice to join TICs and I just wanted to go out and spread the Gospel. Little did I know God had different plans for my life. I needed to be equipped first before I can go out and spread the Gospel. At TICs we started the year with an orienation camp where you get tested in certain areas in your life. We did physical training and it was hard. Coming from a backround where I love to train and practice, this camp was nothing to me. One thing I learned in...

And suddenly I am here

So about a week and a half ago my plans were still to go to CPX and my mind was made up. All my supporters new about my plans and everything were set up. Then Anna-Marie phoned me and asked me if I would consider leading work your way this year. I told her, in a almost arrogant way, that Anthony already asked me a month ago and that I already said no to him because my mind is pretty much made up for CPX, but I will still pray about it just to make sure. I don’t know what...

MIRACLES BY THE DOZEN

It has been a long time since I was able to blog.  We are in Australia for a long time. We volunteered at a camping ground. We helped running the programs and told the children about Jesus. It has been amazing!

This is a couple of short stories of what happened:

It was rainy and could, and nobody was looking forward to the next day. We were planning to go horseback riding and ride on dirt bikes. The night the kids prayed for a sunshiny day. (Not all of the kids are christian)The next morning it was raining again. But after we had breakfast and did what we had to do, the sky cleared and the sun was shining. The kids knew that this was God and he must be real.

Challenged in Africa

It’s Monday evening around ten and the air is filled with excitement and anticipation. Tomorrow is the start of Global Challenge X 2008, we’re set to depart to Zambia as a team around 11am…
Or maybe not! As we were soon to find out the leadership of this organisation is full of surprises and can never be trusted. They lied to the parents without as much as a sly smile. Challenge 1, Africa Challenge is announced, and what a challenge!
