The Golden Calves in Cambodia...

The Golden Calves in Cambodia...
'Come on,' they said, 'make us some gods who can lead us. We don't know what happened to this man Moses, who brought us here from the land of Egypt (land of slavery).'... Then Aaron took all their gold, melted it down, and moulded it into the shape of a calf. When the people saw it, they exclaimed, 'O Israel, these are the gods who brought you out of the land of Egypt and slavery! " - Exodus 32 - This was written thousands of years ago and might seem ridiculous - how could people just decide to make...

My 2nd "blog" YIPEE

My 2nd "blog" YIPEE
A very good hallo from Yaounde, the capital city of “green” Cameroon! It has been a shock to our system. Coming from the Sahel and the dry poor Niger to the green pastures of Cameroon. The saying “ the grass is not always greener on the other side” has become a fake not true saying... it is greener! thank you Jesus! After the dry hot weather we are having an awesome time and God is providing in many great ways. Thanks for all the prayer all over the world. We are seeing the fruits and the blessings of...

Imagine Jesus being enough

To my beloved fellow believers and fellow workers in Jesus Christ.  Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ Take a moment, forget where you are, what you are busy with and imagine with me Imagine not being worried about whether your shoes go with the color of your shirt Imagine not being worried about the Guess/Levi label printed on your jean Imagine you had no DKNY or ChanelNo5 perfume to put on this morning Imagine not having a wardrobe to put your clothes in Imagine not having a room to call your own...

Onwards and upwards….South Africa to Brazil

On Sunday 6th March the Southbound team departed South Africa for Brazil, via Doha. We are currently in the humid city of Ubatuba, working under the ministry and guidance of Agape Church Ministries. Blessed times in New Zealand!

Blessed times in New Zealand!
If there is one thing I can say about our team is that we never really plan too far in advance and you know what, I LOVE IT. It’s probably because we are 5 guys and alot of people may not necessary agree with the way we operate, but it has really opened up the opportunity for God to lead us and has grown our faith as well as make our journey very exciting. So needless to say a week before we would have flown into New Zealand we still weren’t sure where we were going to stay, what our...

Priority India

Priority India
Dear Global Challenge supporters The Northbound team is currently working at an orphanage in Kota , In dia . There are about 600 children accommodated in this Christian home. So often one becomes aware of the overwhelming need in the world, but doesn’t know how to get involved or whether one’s financial support will make a significant difference. Here in Kota we have enough helping hands and willing hearts , but a lack of resources, to complete the task. We identified the following projects to be the most urgent: •           Mr. Thomas , the manager/father of the orphanage, had to...

Sorry it’s in Afrikaans

Bikes, brakke, die baba Jesus Ek smag na wysheid, ek sien die krisis   Ligte gly verby oor ‘n besige pad Niemand wil gee nie, almal wil vat   Is jy gemaklik in jou 5 ster hotel? Is jy gemaklik, voel jy tuis in die hel? Noem my skynheilig, noem my ‘n vegter, noem my ‘n sendeling, maak my ‘n enkeling   Dis donker waar die lig nie skyn nie Almal lieg, “my lewe is great, ek het nie pyn nie” Hoe lank wil jy lewe?  Eintlik is jy dood. Jammer as jy skrik  Maar God is groot   Cebu...
