Ongoing food distribution in Niger

Ongoing food distribution in Niger
The tremendous support the URN project has received has enabled the Explore Africa 2010 team to distribute food in two different towns the past weekend.   Tânout is a town about three hours drive to the North of Zinder. The town is set in arid and almost barren land and the entire district has been severely affected by the ongoing drought and food shortages. The need in Tânout is big and expanding at an alarming rate.   Pastor Issa is a man from the Fulani tribe who lives in Tânout with his wife and four children. The church at his...

One Step Closer

One Step Closer
Sarah and I were sitting on the plane and waited for the air hostess to bring the aisle-wheelchair so that we can start our two weeks holiday in South Africa. Our entry into Cape Town with 1 Time was quite impressive but the only wheelchair-friendly kombi I was able to rent, got stolen a week before our flight! The next best thing was a Toyota Condor... This was two years ago and it made me discover the need for wheelchair accessibility in South Africa and the desire to give them the same privileges we have. At first it looked...

Greece
Halo again to all my supporters and friends. This is a a photo blog about Greece, which we visited first. It was my first time I set foot out of South Africa and happily Greece was arranged in a way that we could first get acquainted with different languages, money systems and cultures. It was an overwhelming experience for me and my eyes already started to open for how many different people there is in this world that needs Christ. Here follows a few photos from Greece: A picture of the flight from South Africa to Greece. It was the...

The past week we met everyone "officially" into our small teams, and WOW!, God really put everyone exactly where they need to be! I am in the Yellow team, and this year the Yellow team is going to MOVE! I can not believe how it is possible for 5 people, to mix, match and adapt to each other. I know we only started, but WOW!, this is really a new family to me. I will never forget my old team, and I love them dearly, but this is a new chapter, one which will only be written by God. So,...

Let us soak Morocco in prayer!

Are Muslims more difficult to reach than other people groups? Isn't God's power to reach the peoples of the earth infinate and is Islam no challenge for Him? Why does it sometimes feel like there's a wall around Muslims keeping them from seeing the truth and accepting it as the truth?   "Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil" (The Holy Qur'an) (Sura II v.7)   Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe, so they are unable to see...

I Left My Heart In Africa

I Left My Heart In Africa
I have learnt a lt this year. I learned that things don't always turn out the way you planned, or the way you think it should. And I've learned that there are things that go wrong that don't always get fixed or get put back together the way they were before. I've learned that you can get through bad times and keep looking for better ones. This year wasn't always pretty. It wasn't always comfortable. Some things and situations even break your heart. But that's okay. The journey changes you - it should change you. It leaves marks on your...
