WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?

WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?
Dear friends Where is your faith? Its been some time since our last newsletter, but I would love to share with you some of what Estee and I experienced the past few weeks. I have discovered again that I truly need God in my life, that I am nothing without Him and that through Him all things are possible. Before we knew it, 2009 was on top of us and we were camping with more than 45 students next to the beach in Jeffrey’s Bay. This year we will have two journeys (North Bound and South Bound) travelling around...

Dear Ethiopia...

Dear Ethiopia...
When I first laid my eyes on you and the rolling hills you sat upon. I thought what amazing luck I have that God had created such beautiful things and gave me the eyes to see them.    I am forever changed by your existence. You are a place filled with so many stories and I feel so privileged to share some of these stories with you. I can't think of anything that excites a greater sense of childlike wonder than to be in a country where you are ignorant of almost everything. Suddenly you are five years old again....

East Africa Rollercoaster

After a brief, very satisfying, visit to South Africa I eagerly made my way back to the team in Ethiopia. I was curious to see how they were doing and to hear what adventures they had made through on their way to the small village of Jinka in the south western part of the country. Some of their adventures became apparent on the way as the tar road leaving Addis Ababa gradually dried up. It was replaced by a bumpy, dusty gravel road and we moved at a frustratingly slow pace. At least Wayne was with me to keep me...

Nothing is hidden from His sight!

“Nothing is hidden from Your sight; Wherever I go You are with me; You know every detail of my life; You are God and you don’t miss a thing.” The last week or so I’ve been thinking about the whole idea of my life and in what way God has control over the things that happen in my life. Reading stories of people like Joseph I have again just realized how God in intensely involved with what happens in our lives. When reading the words to the song above it just emphasizes how nothing on this earth is hidden from...

Limers in Cairo & Dahub

Limers in Cairo & Dahub
Welcome to the lime teams journey to Egypt.  What an interesting and different culture we experienced here.  Our first couple of days was really cold and we thought that Egypt will be extremely hot.  We fist visited the beautiful place called Anafora.   This whole place was build around symbolic bible themes and how exciting and interesting everything was.  From the waters and the buildings they all had certain meanings.  It was a wonderful place just to spend in God's presence and see the beauty of the desert.                          These photo's show some of the beautiful places...

Land of Freedom

Land of Freedom
Talking the talk, hoping for a difference, accepting the challenge, inspiring the young is what T.H.A.I. means to me. As Luzaan would say Shan Rag Thailand. I love Thailand.   Thailand took me by surprise; it was a heatwave of children, culture, language barriers and smiles ,all in one. I've taken four days out of my diary to show you how my experiances in the country was a challenged for me.   Day 1 (01/04/09) The first day at school Teaching was one of the things that looked most challenging... Esspesially because it was language – English. Dear Diary Today I helped...
