As most of you already know we as south bound had to race from Mlaysia to Thailand. We had to accomplish a bunch of tasks and yes the Orange team arrived first and YES I only say arrived first(Gratz to the pinks). We can second due to some technical issues but hey we moved from third place in the previous race to second and the team spirit was a lot higher and we really enjoyed the race. We as a team really found each other and found out that some people are morning people and others are night people. We...

Dear Friends,We are on the last stretch, heading homeward! We just completed the ministry time on Zanzibar and will start our trip down to SA in the next two days. The last few weeks God has been reminding us as a team to finish strong and has given us the scripture from 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith."We know, with His grace, we can finish well. While on the island Anna-Marie visited us. She was of great encouragement to the whole team and also came to facilitate the...
A Tour of the Father's Heart for Africa: Explore Africa Expedition Perception through the human eye alone is limited, both in depth and distance. Our weak attempt to see the Father's heart through visual aids offered to us by the world and sometimes by religion itself leaves us abandoned to an even more severe blindness and to oppressive misconceptions of who He is. My heart's desire is to take on His lenses and embark on an expedition of His Heart for African nations. I am embarking on an adventure to get to know the Father’s heart through service and...
Going through this year I have rarely been on farms. Now, farms are where my heart lies and where I belong. Before we went to Australia I was longing for the farm life. My whole being was longing for the mud, dirt tracks, tractors, bikes and the outdoors. Little was I expecting the treat God would provide for me… We worked on an outdoor adventure school where there was caving, abseiling, high ropes, horses and of course dirt bikes!!! We had a basic training in all of these ‘courses’ so that we were able to help with upcoming camps. I...
To get from Marrakech to Fes we had to take a long bus ride. The plan was to take the bus, arrive at the bus station in Fes, get connected to the Internet and let Mustafa from the hostel know we've arrived as arranged. Upon arriving at the bus station there he was - Mustafa was waiting for us, welcoming us with such overeagerness it was convincing. Being confident this was it we followed Mustafa, got in a cab and next thing we found ourselves in very fancy hostel. Beautiful patterns lined the walls of the Riad and comfortable couches...
We have finally arrived in Guatemala, but not without any effort. WE set out for the journey from Peru to Panajachal, Guatemala a week before we arrived. It was an incredible journey. We had prepared as much as we could before we traveled, but there was no way of know the advnture that lied ahead.
“Karibu sana! Mzuri?!” , is the welcome-phrase in every Swahili home. And this phrase is valid across every Swahili culture; The Maasai, Arab-Swahili, native Swahili and even the mzungus (white men) staying in Swahili culture… Our time with the Du Plooy family is one to remember as God-ordained. Father planned this meeting, not only seeing that our immediate need of a western house is met, but also seeing what this meeting would cause for future partnerships. What a haven in Nairobi! Despite ructions and tensions in the Maasai community we visited, we were welcomed into a Maasai traditional home. We...
Wait! What? This is not about me? So I am selfish. Done. That's it. What else is left to say? Listen to this sentence - it tells you values that Global Challenge decided on. We share the Good news to a world in need. Guess what I concentrated on. Yup, good guess! The 'we'-part. Luckily I can promise you this: God will reveal unto you if in anything you are otherwise (than what He wants) minded (Phil 3:15). Because He is faithful to His word, He came to show me how absolutely selfish I am. I started realizing how...
From that very first moment we set foot on the small airport in Katmandu I knew that Nepal is going to be a wonderful journey and that the Lord has BIG things planned for us ! When Pastor Padam picked us up from the airport and took us to the church I immediately felt so comfortable. It was as if they were family I've known all my life, and to experience the feelimg of "real family love" was amazing (God really know what you need every moment.) and I thank God for comforting me in that...
Australia was suppose to be the half way country pit stop where we have a break from crazy cultures and just work with some sheep. I could not wait to get my hands dirty and have some fun. In true global fashion it was 6weeks not knowing what I was doing or what was going to happen next. It was suppose to be easy but it wasn't... For the first week I got to relax and catch up with some friends, learning from them and serving where I could. We also had a camp with the youth from the church...
